How to join a tour

No need to book, but reserving your spot is best. Groups of 10+ guests must book a private tour. Meet us at least 5 minutes before the starting time of a tour at Morning Mojo Cafe & Deli, and sign up – look out for our green umbrellas!

Tours departing every day, 365 days a year, rain or sunshine, at 09:30, 11:00, 14:00 and 16:20

Reserve your spot

Our daily tours do not require a reservation, but booking your spot in advance allows you to choose your preferred tour and time, ensuring the best possible experience. Private tours and groups of more than 10 people are required to book in advance.

All of our tours operate on a tip-only basis. At the end of the tour, you are welcome to tip your guide whatever you feel the experience was worth.

Please note that all tours are conducted in English only.

 Verified Must do in Cape Town! Me and my friend were recommended this free walking tour by friends who previously visited Cape Town, we did the apartheid to freedom tour with Nizaam and couldn’t recommend it enough! Nizaam was so knowledgeable and great explaining the history of Cape Town, which was even more so emphasised by his own experiences. We feel much more educated about the history of Cape Town and we are so glad that we did this Tour, if you’re visiting Cape Town make sure that you add this to your list, our only regrets that we didn’t have more time to do more of the tours!

 Verified Tim was an excellent guide! We learned so many things about apartheid and the path to freedom. Highly recommended!!! Great explanations and overall experience with Tim! I learned a lot about apartheid and the path to freedom. He himself had been through life as a white in the apartheid movement growing up in the 60’s.

 Verified Cedric was awesome We enjoyed several walking tours with our guide, Cedric. He was very friendly and entertained many questions from our small group. Cedric was able to explain in a very organized way the historical significance of landmarks in Cape Town. When time permitted, he was also able to go in to great detail about specific topics, whether it be regional cultural differences of tribes, or the life story of Nelson Mandela. The walking tours that Cedric provided important context to South Africa's history which allowed me to have a more profound appreciation for the sights we saw on the trip.  Verified Dive into the history of Cape Town (and the VOC) Very good! Nice to walk through Cape Town with a guide. There are several routes, we chose the Bo Cape. Think of a tip of about RND 150 pp to keep it fun for them!
